Iaquinta believes that Ranieri had some ‘good times’ at Juventus despite his eventual dismissal…

Claudio Ranieri was sacked by Juventus at the tail end of the 2008-09 season, but has gone on to have success with Roma, coming in second place in Serie A last season.

Bianconeri striker Vincenzo Iaquinta claims he remembers the former Chelsea and Parma tactician’s time in Turin as being positive ahead of the high-profile clash between Roma and Juventus on Saturday evening.

“We had a good first half of the season with him, but then the club decided he had to leave,” the former Udinese hitman told Sky Sports.

“We shared some good times together. I especially recall the victories against Real Madrid. I had a good relationship with him. There is no doubt I have good memories of Ranieri.”

Juventus currently sit on 19 points in the standings, one point ahead of the resurgent Giallorossi.
