Quaglia: ‘Juve were not to be missed’

Fabio Quagliarella has likened Juventus to a train that he couldn’t afford to miss this summer.

The 27-year-old left hometown club Napoli in a shock move at the end of the transfer window.

He has settled in relatively well in Turin, scoring three goals in his first seven games for the club.

“Juve were a train that was not to be missed,” Quagliarella told Tuttosport. “One of those opportunities that happen once in a lifetime.”

When asked about his adaptation to life at Juventus, he said: “It’s gone well, rapid in fact.

“I already knew 90 per cent of the players: former teammates or lads I got to know with the national team: Chiellini, Bonucci, Iaquinta etc.”
