Moratti bites back at Juve

Inter President Massimo Moratti has hit back at Juventus counterpart Andrea Agnelli in the fight for those infamous Calciopoli titles.

Earlier this week Agnelli noted that his club could ask for the revoked 2005 and 2006 Scudetti to be re-assigned to the Old Lady.

The 2005 championship was unassigned, while the 2006 Scudetto was controversially handed to Internazionale.

“Juventus have their policies,” Moratti noted. “When we fall into their way of thinking we’ll also ask for the other two Scudetti that we missed out on in the past…”

The San Siro patron’s comments came after Agnelli, Juventus’ new President, told shareholders that they hadn’t forgotten about the stripped championships of the ‘Triade’ era.

“Once the club’s correctness in the years in question has been obtained we could advance a request for the titles to be re-assigned,” Agnelli said.

“The judicial procedure at the tribunal in Naples is one of two that are open. The other regards the statement we have presented [to the FIGC asking] for the revocation of the 2006 Scudetto.

“We have had sufficient guarantees from the FIGC that we will soon have a reply to this statement.

“We wait [for it] with confidence.”
