"Kick Racism out of Football," UNESCO and Juventus given the scholarships

Racism must be combated forcefully into everyday life as in sport. By launching this message last November was the project “Kick Racism out of football,” sponsored by UNESCO and the Centre Juventus of Turin, which is giving away two scholarships given to an institution of the second degree and one student, aged between 18 and 25 years, which were distinct in initiatives to combat racism and integration.
And this morning at the headquarters of the black and white bowls hall, two scholarships were given. The jury, composed of Juventus and UNESCO Centre, has decided to reward Irina Pesterean with the “Scholarship for two students from the University of Morongo – Tanzania”, in the 18/25 years category, and the Liceo Scientifico Carlo Cattaneo ” with the “I’ll friend”, selected among the colleges of the second degree.Both winners received a scholarship of 5000 €.
Two other works have been awarded the honorable mention: the “three internships for young refugees and asylum seekers” of Enaiatollah Akbari and “over each eye to the Institute of Higher Education” Edoardo Amaldi “in Orbassano.
In addition, to celebrate the handover of scholarships 2009/2010, Juventus has invited 200 young people who participated in the contest to attend the game against Lecce scheduled for tomorrow at 15.00 at the Olympic Stadium in Turin.
And after the successful first edition, Juventus and UNESCO Centre are defining the organizational details for the announcement of the 2010/2011 season. In the coming weeks will be informed of the details and modalities of participation.
