Juventus and Centro UNESCO Scholarships presented

This morning, in the trophy room of the Juventus headquarters, the presentation of the “Kicking racism” scholarships, reserved for youths aged between 18 and 25 and institutes of superior second degree of the Province of Turin, were presented.

Juventus supported the project witha pree campaign diffused through its website juventus.com, the monthly magazine Hurrà Juventus and an advert transmit at the Stadio Olimpico during the matches of last championship. 

On its part, the Centro UNESCO took care of the diffucion of the mission statement on its website 
www.centrounesco.to.it, presented the initiative in Turin and Paris during international congresses, constiuted the focal point for the competitors and took care of a clear and efficient communciation. 

At the end of the very careful evaluation of the works presented, a jury made up of Juventus and Centro Unesco representatives decide to award Irina Pesterean with the the project “Scholarship for students at the University of Morongo – Tanzania” in the category 18/25 years, and the Scientific Lyceum “Carlo Cattaneo” with the project “I’ll make you my friend” selected from amongst the superior institutes of the second grade. Both winners received a scholarship of €5,000. 

Another two works were given a mention of honour: the project progetto “Tirocini formativi per tre giovani rifugiati o richiedenti asilo” by Enaiatollah Akbari and “Oltre ogni sguardo” by the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “Edoardo Amaldi” in Orbassano.

To celebrate the awarding of the 2009/10 scholarships Juventus invited 200 youths who particpated to match the match Juventus_Lecce tomorrow at 15:00hrs at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin. 

Juventus and Centro Unesco are currently defining the organizational details for the competition of the 2010/2011 season. In the coming weeks, the details and regulations of particpation will be communicated.
