Juve make Del Neri suffer

Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri was left frustrated by his side’s performance in their 2-1 win over Sturm Graz.

Although the Bianconeri collected a vital Europa League victory with a late Amauri header, the Coach insists there is still plenty of work to do.

“I saw my team suffer far too much,” he noted after the Austrians cancelled out Leonardo Bonucci’s first half goal. “We are not doing what we should be doing.

“When we concede a goal we get affected mentally by it and that should not happen – we need to fix that.

“This team must forget what happened to it last season, we must go forward without thinking about the ghosts of the past.

“At times my Juventus were just too hesitant. We can do better, much better.”

Del Neri was appointed in the summer after Juventus finished last term in a lowly seventh place in Serie A.
