Del Piero inspires me, says Lanza

Juventus’ young outside forward Davide Lanzafame has revealed how working alongside Alessandro Del Piero on a daily basis is an inspiration.
The 23-year-old was brought back to Juventus this summer after spells on loan at Bari and Parma.
Palermo have co-owned his contract since 2008, but Juventus decided to sign him outright again in June.
“Del Piero is my model,” Lanzafame explained. “Against Shamrock he accepted the Coach’s decisions with humility. He was ready when needed, came on and resolved the game.”
Speaking ahead of Juventus’ clash with Sturm Graz, he said: “The Europa League is fundamental.
“We want to go far in every competition. The fans must be patient this year, but also ambitious.
“Inter have something extra, but we mustn’t underestimate ourselves.”
Juventus goalkeeper Alex Manninger is also looking forward to the chance to play in his home country when the team travels to Graz.
“It will be emotional. We’ll play in a small stadium, but it’ll be sold out. Sturm are further forward in their preparation. It’s the game of the year for them.”
