Juventus torn over Diego

Juventus are unsure whether to keep Diego or sell him this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has impressed Gigi Del Neri in pre-season training, but he doesn’t fit in with the Coach’s plans for the team.

Last year, Juventus abandoned the 4-4-2 that they had practiced for several years in favour of a 4-2-3-1 built around Diego.

However, the €25m signing flopped as did the rest of the team and Del Neri now intends to revert back to a 4-4-2, which doesn’t suit Diego’s characteristics.

Juventus are torn, though, as if they put him on the market, the fear is that no one will pay half of what they did a year ago.

His departure could, however, fund bids for players that Juventus need like CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic or Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
