Gigi Del Neri admits he is satisfied with Juventus after they won their first friendly of the pre-season campaign 6-0 against Trentino Amateurs.

The Bianconeri have been in training camp for over a week getting to know exactly what the new Coach wants ahead of next season.

Speaking after the game, Del Neri said: “There are good signs, good indications.

“These games in general count for little, the opponents are often at their first day of work while we were coming off a week of intense work on a physical level.

“I have seen good things. There was a great desire on the players’ part to put into practice the moves we tried in training and there was a great team spirit.

“I would like to underline the commitment of everyone notwithstanding the legs which are still heavy and the good goals of Diego and Trezeguet.”

Del Neri then explained why the decision was made just before kick off to give Nicola Legrottaglie the captain’s armband instead of Trezeguet.

“It was a choice made by the team in favour of Nicola after David’s step back.”

That decision reflects the uncertainty surrounding Trezeguet’s future at the club amid interest from Napoli and Valencia.
