Juve look for Grosso buyer

Juventus won’t make a move for a left-back this summer until they find Fabio Grosso a new club.

The Turin giants were this week associated with Arsenal’s Gael Clichy, but no concrete move will be made for the Frenchman – or any other defender of interest – until Grosso is sold.

The latter, who only joined the Turin outfit last summer from Lyon, is seen as surplus to requirements by new sporting director Beppe Marotta and boss Gigi Del Neri.

The new management duo have confirmed their faith in the young Paolo De Ceglie, but he is seen more as a squad player.

Clichy, 24, was associated with the Old Lady by the Times newspaper this week.

Grosso, who was dropped from Italy’s World Cup squad this summer, is being closely associated with Atletico Madrid.

The Bianconeri are in the process of rejuvenating the squad after they reportedly agreed to sell Mauro Camoranesi to Olympiacos yesterday.
