There is some good news for Juventus this morning given that key defender Giorgio Chiellini may be available for the weekend.
The Italian stopper has been out of action since he picked up a thigh problem in the 2-1 win at Fiorentina back on March 6.
“I hope to be back for the difficult away game in Genoa on Sunday evening,” he said ahead of the trip to Sampdoria.
Chiellini wasn’t part of the squad which capitulated in the Europa League last night against English mid-tier side Fulham.
Without him and the suspended Nicola Legrottaglie, Juventus shipped four goals and saw both central defenders – Fabio Cannavaro and Jonathan Zebina – sent off.
