Gianluigi Buffon has no intention of leaving Juventus for Manchester City at the end of the current season, the player’s agent has revealed.
The Bianconeri No 1 is currently out injured and rumors regarding a potential move have been spreading in recent weeks.
“There is no way Buffon will be leaving Juventus for City,” claimed agent Silvano Martina.
“These links are pure speculations. And Buffon himself is irritated by them.”
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the English outfit was ready to offer up to £25m for the services of the Nazionale goalkeeper.
In the meantime, the 31-year-old is set to return to action at the end of this month, after spending over a month on the sideline.
“By the end of March he will be ready to play,” added Martina.
“The Bianconeri won’t force him to speed up his recovery, even though Alexander Manninger is also out injured.”
