Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon says he will retire when he is no longer called up to represent Italy.
The 32-year-old is still Italy’s undisputed No 1 and has yet to be challenged between the sticks in Azzurro.
Speaking at the World Cup trophy tour, Buffon said: “When they no longer call me up to the national team, I will retire.
“It’s not as if I would like to continue playing forever.”
Bufon has made 100 appearances for Italy since his debut in 1997, aged 19.
He is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world along with Iker Casillas and Julio Cesar.
