Mohamed Sissoko has had a mixed season so far, with excellent performances being overshadowed by some really lousy ones. But on Saturday evening the Malian international defensive midfielder had one of his best games this campaign as he tore apart Fiorentina to return the Bianconeri to winning ways.
Sissoko was his usual self in the midfield as he broke up the opposition’s attacks and made some pretty good challenges. However, his best contribution was playing a sublime pass to Fabio Grosso in the 68th minute for the Italian World Cup winner to make it 2-1 to the visitors against Fiorentina in Florence. That goal eventually proved to be the difference between the two sides and kept Juventus fifth in the league standings with 44 points from 27 matches.
