Giorgio Chiellini believes Palermo outclassed Juventus on a physical level last night as they romped to a 2-0 victory in Turin.

The Bianconeri looked tired especially in the second half after Thursday’s exertions against Ajax in the Europa League.

Speaking to Juventus’s official website, Chiellini said: “Unfortunately we paid a little for our tiredness. You saw the abysmal difference between the first and second halves.

“We deserved at least a goal in the first half while in the second they outclassed us physically.

“Today’s objective was to win and consolidate fourth place with a thought to what Roma were doing, but the collapse in the second half has not allowed us to do it.

“Then Miccoli’s great goal took our hand off the game. Also Grygera’s error on the second goal is the fruit of this tiredness,” Chiellini concluded.

Juventus are now fifth in Serie A and there is already talk of a new crisis.

This morning’s Tuttosport claims that the Turin giants are looking to lure Fabio Capello back this summer.
