The Bianconeri pipped the hosts to the post on Sunday afternoon and Goal.com was on hand to rate the performance of the players…..

JUVENTUS
Buffon: 6 – Buffon did make a number of good saves especially in the second half but he should have done better for the goal he conceded. Also, the Italian international goalkeeper looked uncertain during long shots and crosses.

Grygera: 6.5 – He didn’t look particularly top class and committed his fair share of mistakes in a Juventus backline that allowed 15 shots, but the right-back made important challenges and tackles to keep the Bologna attackers hunting.

Legrottaglie: 6 – Had an average game and allowed the Bologna players to torment him on occasions.

Chiellini: 7 – He was the rock at the heart of the Juventus defence and kept Zalayeta and
Adailton out.

Salihamidzic: 6 –
Wasn’t at his best today but worked hard and tried to contribute as much he could, both in attack and in defence.

Felipe Melo: 6.5 – His handball on the edge of the Juventus penalty area gave away a freekick that Bologna hit the crossbar from. But he had a better game today than some of his earlier performances as he combined well with Diego.

Marchisio: 7 – Had a good match, contributed in attack, took shots at goal and committed himself in defending. Encouraging.

De Ceglie: 6 – Had a decent outing but he will have to realise that there is room for improvement.

Diego: 7.5 – Scored a goal and looked like he could add a couple more. The Brazilian was at the heart of every move that Juve constructed and indeed his substitution on the hour-mark came as a surprise.

Del Piero: 7.5 –  Wasn’t perhaps as lively as Diego but his assist for the second goal was sensational. Del Piero looked good and creative on other occasions too.

Amauri: 6 – The 29-year-old had an average game and although he had a few chances, he showed his lack of pace and ‘ground-skills’.

Substitutes:

Sissoko: 5.5 –
Came on for Marchisio in the 54th minute but took time to settle in. Sissoko also gave away the ball far too easily.

Candreva: 7 – Candreva scored Juve’s winner five minutes after he came on and looked very lively in the 35 or so minutes he was on the pitch.

Camoranesi – N/A
