Buffon- 5: Made one decisive stop on Sculli in the second-half, but was wrong footed on the first goal and then fumbled a cross to allow the second
Zebina- 6.5: The veteran did a fairly good job, twice clearing the danger from Acquafresca and El Shaarawi.
Legrottaglie- 6: The Italian was relatively solid, even if he was caught flat-footed a couple time early on.
Chiellini- 6: The Italian international always showed great desire and out-muscled the Grifoni strikers, but he was megged by Acquafresca’s assist for the initial goal.
Caceres- 6.5: A bit gung-ho going forward, but left Sculli and Criscito for dead as he set up Amauri’s goal with an accurate cross to the far post.
Candreva- 5: A few long range strikes that were off target from the ex-Livorno player, but nothing more
Sissoko- 5.5: A lot of hard work in midfield.
De Ceglie- 4: The player struggled to deal with Mesto and Rossi and was always pressed back into his own end for long portions of the match.
Diego- 6.5: He came into the match much more in the second-half and his backheel assist for Del Piero’s was brilliant. He showed he can be a difference maker for the Bianconeri.
Amauri- 6.5: His great effort was rewarded as he ended his goal-drought with his first goal since October with a fine header.
Del Piero- 8: Not a vintage performance by any means, but he turned back the years by showing great skill to link up with Diego and poke in his first and also confidently dispatched a spot-kick to complete his brace.
Marchisio- 7: Did a great job in a holding midfield role for Bianconeri and settled the midfield. The team looked much more in charge and compact with his introduction.
Salihamidzic- 6: Was willing to run, but wasted a promising counter late on.
