Amauri has only scored four goals this season because his Juventus team-mates are failing him – that is the assessment from former striker Roberto Boninsegna.
October was the last time Amauri made the score sheet by grabbing a brace against Sampdoria for a season total of four goals in 29 games for the club in all competitions.
“Amauri has seen a general decline in the team and he can feel it more because he is a striker,” Boninsegna told Pianetagenoa1893.net.
“If his colleagues cannot create chances for him then he will not find a way to goal.”
Amauri seems set to start against Genoa on Sunday, and Boninsegna claims Juve’s misfortune will continue.
“Juventus are going through a very negative period and so this game will be very hard for them,” he concluded.
