The captain scored for the home side, but it wasn’t enough to secure maximum points…

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero may have helped his side claim a vital point against Lazio, but the hitman knows that there is still a long way to go until his side can climb out of the slump they are in.

With new coach Alberto Zaccheroni, the side is looking to work on the psychological levels, as to why matches have finished in the way they have.

“It is a period of time in which things are not working out. It is a difficult time for us all,” Del Piero said to Corriere Dello Sport. “We controlled the match, and created more chances, but could not finish off.

“Zaccheroni looked to work on our psychological aspect, to help us remain calm. It will take another few days to improve this aspect.

“The team does not remember how to maintain an advantage, and this is something that we must resolve quickly, and focus more attentively on.”

The 35-year-old also gave his thoughts about the penalty that was awarded to him.

“It was a borderline situation, as there was contact,” ‘Pinturicchio’ stated.

“The referee evaluated that there was sufficient contact just as I was about to shoot,” he concluded.
