The Brazilian looking forward to his cup debut…

Juventus star Diego has admitted he cannot wait to make his Coppa Italia debut and is hoping the competition will reignite the club’s league form.

Speaking ahead of Juve’s clash with Napoli tomorrow night, the Brazilian told TuttoSport, “I always enjoy the atmosphere of a debut.”

The €24.5 million man claimed the Bianconeri will see tomorrow’s fixture as a welcome break from their poor league form. Since beating Inter just over a month ago, Juve have lost three of their last five league games.

“The team enters the field with the feeling of being renovated [in the cup],” he said, “with new motivation and a different mood.”

The playmaker also revealed his enjoyment of cup competitions, stressing the fact that there is room for slip-ups away from Serie A.

“In the Coppa Italia, where you cannot lose, the responsibility is great and so the concentration must be greater.”
